Hi, welcome to this, the first and only official dedicated site, to our Mom, who was known as Connie Marshall. We are Connie's daughters Pamela, Allison, Leslie and brother Frank. We have put a lot of our information on this site and Malcolm has checked it all out. We have made some new discoveries and, with the help of Malcolm and Jackie, we have put together a biography ,film and television list, as well as a radio show, in which Mom appeared. We have been staggered by the amount of hits this site has had in the last year 2008, as well as the amount of nice e-mails we have received from Mom's dedicated fans.
We will be adding to this site all the time and hope you enjoy it. On the front page, at present, is one of Mom's photo stills, Other pictures are from Malcolm's library of our mom. All our material comes from Mom's scrapbook, unless otherwise stated. We have included new information about several other parts of Mom's life, of which you may not have known, such as her theatre direction. We hope you enjoy our site and thank you for remembering our Mom, Connie Marshall. We also remember Mom's sister, Priscilla, on this site.
Mom's bracelet refered in her biography by Jackie and Malcolm James and worn throughout her life.
Above this picture is Connie sitting on a bench in Central Park, New York and was taken by Norman Rockwell. The pictures of lookalike Marilyn Monroe and Whistlers Mother were added by Rockwell when painting the photo at his studio in Vermont. -----------------------------------------------Hello, I'm Malcolm James and am the founder of this site to a lady who, in my opinion, was the greatest child star of Hollywood's Golden age. I first saw Connie Marshall on the screen in the 50s and will always remember her performance in "Sunday Dinner for a Soldier". I searched for years to try to find her and her family, but sadly nothing on her was reported. The first I sadly learnt of her passing in 2001 was in 2006 and it was a very sad blow to me. I found her family, after a long search, and we together set up this Society to her.
None of this would have been possible without the help of her family, who have done their utmost to help me from the start. They did not know that people even remembered their Mom and, in some cases, were unaware of her great achievements in life.As I said at the beginning, welcome to Connie's Family Memorial site, a tribute to a Star. There is possibly more information about Connie out there which I have yet to publish. Her bio will be updated as I find out more information during my research about her which is NOT included in her bio on this site. Photographs have come to light of Connie selling household appliances and other items never before known about or seen. See the link on the Connie's Pics page. NEWS Nevada State Journal, Reno May 6 1948 Connie Marshall, good samaritan has set a fine example by contributing $10 from every pay check she gets to "Care" for European Orphans. The Stars and Stripes, May 11th 1945 Connie Marshall, the "little Cover Girl", whose acting in "Sunday Dinner for a Soldier" won her a seven year contract has been selected a "mascot" by the Military Government Det. GIB2, Civil Affairs Regt. And amongst the most loyal of Connie's rooters is Lt. John T. Marshall-her father. ------------------------------------------------ Connie Marshall
